Call for abstracts

The New Zealand Catholic Education Convention, in the past, takes place once every three years. Due to COVID-19 we have not gathered since 2018. The 2024 Convention will bring together over 850 delegates—educators, principals, school trustees, proprietors, Bishops, priests and a range of representatives of our national Catholic education system.

Convention seminars
give presenters a chance to mix with professionals and educationalists in a stimulating environment. Seminars are one hour ten minutes long and have access to a full suite of audio and visual technology.

We invite you to complete this application to present a seminar. We are looking for 15 high quality and engaging seminars that match the theme of the Convention, TÅ«hono Whakapono: One Faith Community or themes relevant to New Zealand Catholic education today.

The Convention seminars will be categorised under four streams:

  • Catholic school board governance
  • Catholic special character
  • Religious Education and the wider curriculum
  • The Church today

The National Catholic Education Convention planning committee will make the final decision on acceptance of abstracts.
